LIGHTING: FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

HINT:
-

Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

-

The procedure described below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE

HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal.

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR SCUFF PLATE

HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side  See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Headliner/Service and Repair/Removal.

3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Remove the front door opening trim weatherstrip.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP

(a) Remove the rear door opening trim weatherstrip.

5. REMOVE CENTER PILLAR LOWER GARNISH

HINT: Use the same procedure as for the RH side  See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Front Seat Outer
Belt Assembly/Removal.

6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR COURTESY SWITCH

(a) Using "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the screw.
(b) Disconnect the connector and remove the front door courtesy switch.
