Removal

2ZR-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: KNOCK SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE  See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings
2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
4. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
5. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant/Service and Repair

6. REMOVE NO. 2 CYLINDER HEAD COVER See: Ignition System/Ignition Coil/Service and Repair/Removal

7. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH HOSE See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Throttle Body/Service and

Repair/Removal

8. SEPARATE ENGINE WIRE HARNESS See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

9. REMOVE HARNESS BRACKET See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

10. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL VAPOR FEED HOSE See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

11. DISCONNECT VACUUM HOSE See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

12. REMOVE FUEL PIPE CLAMP See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

13. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

14. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

15. REMOVE NO. 1 DELIVERY PIPE SPACER See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

16. REMOVE INJECTOR VIBRATION INSULATOR See: Fuel Delivery and Air Induction/Fuel Injector/Service and Repair/Removal

17. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY 

18. REMOVE ENGINE OIL LEVEL DIPSTICK
19. REMOVE OIL COOLER TUBE (for Automatic Transaxle) See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and

Repair/Removal

20. REMOVE TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL GAUGE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle) See: Engine, Cooling and

Exhaust/Engine/Intake Manifold/Service and Repair/Removal

21. REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
