Air Bag Control Module: Testing and Inspection

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM: CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY: ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

1. INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle not Involved in Collision)

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble

Codes/DTC Check / Clear.

2. INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision and Airbag not Deployed)

(a) Perform a diagnostic system check See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Testing and Inspection/Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble

Codes/DTC Check / Clear.

3. INSPECT CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY (for Vehicle Involved in Collision)

CAUTION: For center airbag sensor removal and installation procedures, See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Impact
Sensor/Service and Repair/Center Airbag Sensor Assembly/Removal and  See: Restraint Systems/Air Bag Systems/Impact Sensor/Service
and Repair/Center Airbag Sensor Assembly/Installation , and follow the correct procedure.

(a) Replace the center airbag sensor.
