(c) Cut off the deployment section of the curtain shield airbag.

(d) Connect SST.

(1) After connecting SST, connect it to the curtain shield airbag.
NOTE: Do not lock the secondary lock of the twin lock to avoid damaging the SST connector and wire harness.

(e) Using a service-purpose wire harness for the vehicle, tie the curtain shield airbag to the tire.

Stripped wire harness section:

CAUTION: Do not use a wire harness that is too thin or any other object to tie the curtain shield airbag because it may snap due to
the shock when the airbag is deployed. Always use a wire harness for vehicle use with a cross section of at least 1.25 sq.mm (0.0019
in2).
HINT: To calculate the area of the stripped wire harness cross section:
Area = 3.14 x (Diameter)2 divided by 4
