Renewing input shaft seal Special tools and workshop equipment required

t  Pressing-off lever -T20143/2-

t  Thrust piece -T40008-

t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331- t  Grease -G 052 128 A1- –  Remove manual gearbox.

–  Remove clutch release lever -A- with release bearing and guide sleeve → Chapter.

Levering out input shaft seal

–  Half-fill space between sealing lip and dust lip of new seal with sealing grease.

Driving in seal for input shaft –  Install clutch release lever together with release bearing and guide sleeve → Chapter. –  Install manual gearbox.
