Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Base -T20172/1-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Tower -T20172/2-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Gearbox support -T20172/4A-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Counterhold -T20186-, see equivalent → Anchor

Procedure:
–  Fit the base -T20172/1- with the tower -T20172/2- and the gearbox support -T20172/4A-.
–  Prepare the gearbox for transport → Chapter
   
–  Fit the gearbox to the gearbox support -T20172/4A- as shown in the figure.
  Note
If the full gearbox revolves on the installation stand with the oil sump facing upwards, the breather pipes of the gearbox casing should be closed.
