Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Thrust piece -T20098-
  Note
t  In serial assembly, a sealant is applied to the tailgate seal, this is fitted into the tab and then a pressure roller is applied.
t  On removing the seal, the sealant spreads onto the interior of the seal and the sides open slightly. It may be leaking or not properly seated when reattaching the seal.
t  All removed seals must therefore be replaced by a new seal.
t  If a seal has been partially removed, squeeze sides of seal together before installing.

Removing
–  Remove the tailgate -1- seal from the chassis flange, start as shown in area -A-.
Installing
–  Fit the tailgate seal -1- on the chassis flange, starting at the ends of the vulcanised area -A-, which must be aligned with the lower part of the tail light.
