Interior mirror main beam assist: Removing and installing

Special tools and workshop equipment required

t	Puller -3370-

t	Lever -T20189A-

t	Lever -U30800-

t  Interior mirror main beam assist: Removing → Anchor t  Interior mirror main beam assist: Installing → Anchor Interior mirror main beam assist: Removing –  Switch the ignition off.

–  Carefully press-out the cover -1- in the centre section on both sides using the lever -U30800-.   WARNING Wear gloves and eye protection for safety reasons.

–  Bend the cover -1- on the side slightly outwards -arrows-. For this purpose, apply the lever -T20189A- and the puller -3370- in the centre section. Then lever this up from under the interior mirror.

–  Turn the interior mirror -1- anti-clockwise.

–  In order to unhook the fixing of the mirror -1- from the retaining plate -2-, continue to turn the mirror anti-clockwise -arrow- until it can be removed completely.

–  Disconnect the plug connector -1- of the mirror -2-. Interior mirror main beam assist: Installing

–  Connect the plug connector -1- to the mirror -2-.

–  Insert the cable cover -1- into the mount of the headliner. –  Apply the fastening of the mirror -3- to the grooves of the retaining plate -2-. Press in the cable cover into the mount of the headliner at the same time. –  Turn the interior mirror -3- clockwise -2- onto the retaining plate and lock in place.

–  Position the cover -3- in the mirror guides -2- and push upwards until it engages completely.   Note t  Proceed with great care in order not to damage the fastening clips of the cable cover -1-. t  The installation of the cover has been completed correctly when you can clearly hear it engaging.

–  Carefully lock the cable cover -2- onto the mirror cover -1-.   Note The four clips of the cable cover -2- must engage in the cover -1-.
