Installing hose connections with connector couplings
  Note
t  The supercharger air system should not leak
t  The flexible hose sleeves and the other turbocharger air system hoses must be free from oil and grease before the assembly.
t  Apply a lubricant for rubbers free from silicone and oil on the leaking surface and on the joint ring. Do not use lubricant products containing silicone or oil.
t  Replace the joint rings where damaged.
t  On replacing the joint ring, place it on the turbocharger hose groove and check that the joint rings cover the entire groove perimeter to prevent damage.
t  Secure all hose connections with the correct hose clips (same as original equipment) → Spare parts catalogue.
t  To fix the turbocharger hoses to their connection sleeves safely, if already used clamps are used, their bolt threads should be sprayed with an anti-corrosion spray before the assembly.
  Caution
The seal in the plug-in connector can be damaged if the securing clip is in the locked position when fitting the connector. This can cause leakage. Observe installation instructions.
Removal:

–  Release plug-in connector by pulling out retaining clip -arrow-. Separate hose/pipe without tools.
Installing
–  If renewed, place oil seal in groove of charge air hose. Ensure the seal is correctly seated in the groove.
–  Lubricate sealing surface and seal with oil.
–  Bring retaining clip to release position -1-.
–  Push charge air hose into coupling to stop.
  N21-0184

Hose connections with flexible ring
  Note
After the removing and fitting of supercharger air hoses with spring-type clips, there is a risk that the hose will „come loose“ while the car is moving. Because of this, elastic rings are fitted that should only open in case of a fault in the corresponding supercharger air hose. In case of repair, the turbocharger air hose must be possibly removed and the elastic ring broken using an appropriate tool and by replacing it for a component according to → ETKA (spare parts electronic catalogue).
