Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
   
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Extractor -SAT 1100-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Hose clamp -T10172-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Torque wrench (5... 50 Nm) -V.A.G 1331-, see equivalent → Anchor

Removing
–  Place the oil extractor -SAT 1100- underneath the engine and drain the engine oil.
  Note
Please observe requirements for disposal.
–  Remove sump → Chapter.
   
–  Hold oil pump chain sprocket with counterhold -T10172-.
–  Loosen chain sprocket securing bolt.
  Note
Do not remove bolt completely.

–  Push the chain tensioner in the -direction of the arrow- using a screwdriver.
–  Remove chain sprocket securing bolt.
–  Take chain sprocket off oil pump and out of chain.

–  Loosen oil pump securing bolts -arrows- and remove them.
–  Remove oil pump from cylinder block.
Installing
  N17-10021
–  Push the chain tensioner in the -direction of the arrow- using a screwdriver.
–  Seat chain sprocket in chain and fit chain sprocket onto oil pump shaft.

–  Observe installation position of chain sprocket on oil pump shaft -arrow-.
–  Fit chain sprocket securing bolt.
–  Hold chain sprocket with counterhold -T10172-.
  N17-10020
–  Place the torque wrench (5...50 Nm) -V.A.G. 1331- as shown.
–  Tighten fastening bolt to 20 Nm + 1/4 revolution. (90°) using a spanner.
–  Install sump → Chapter.
–  Fill with engine oil.
