Rubber engine mount bearings: replacing
Special tools and workshop equipment required
t  Engine and gearbox support beam -U-30025-
t  Bushings -U-40501-
t  Pressure bolt and expansion nut -T20090-

Work sequence
–  Position the engine support beam -U-30025-, secure it to the ring to the left of the cylinder head and pull up slightly on the engine.
–  Remove the securing element on the front engine unit support.
–  Remove engine unit cross member from the vehicle.
–  Lever the washers out of the spacer bushings (replace damaged and/or bent washers).
   
–  Pull out the spacer bushings and separate the rubber bearings.
–  Install the new rubber bearings and insert the spacer bushings.
–  Go over lightly the edges of the spacer bushings until the washers can be installed.

–  Position the rubber bearing (covered in soapy water) in the bushing -U-40501-, position the parts on the engine unit cross member as shown in the illustration (make sure that the conical part of the expansion nut -T20090- is not touching the bushing). Turn the nut -T20090- until the rubber bearing is seated.

–  Position the washers -1- and the nut -T20090- (with the conical part towards the washer), and turn the nut until the edges of the spacerbushings expand.
