Procedure after voltage supply open circuit
Procedure after voltage supply open circuit
All values learnt by the engine control unit and the basic setting values as well as the readiness code will be erased if the voltage supply is interrupted. Therefore, depending upon the vehicle mileage it can lead to serious engine running problems.
–  The following steps must be performed after reconnecting power supply:
–  Adapting the Throttle valve control unit -J338- → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
–  Consult and erase fault memory if necessary → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
–  If the fault memory has been deleted, the readiness code must be regenerated → Vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
