Checking engine oil level

Test prerequisites

l	Engine oil temperature at least 60 °C.

l	Vehicle standing on a flat surface

l	Wait a few minutes after switching engine off to allow the oil to flow back into sump.

Test procedure

–	Pull out dipstick, wipe off with a clean cloth and insert it again to stop.

–	Pull out dipstick again and read oil level.

Min. mark

a -	Area above hatched field up to max. mark: Do not top up with engine oil!

b -	Oil level within hatched field: Can be topped up with engine oil.

c -	Area from min. mark up to hatched field: Must be topped up, max. 0.5 l of engine oil!
