–  Screw tester into oil filter bracket in place of oil pressure switch.
–  Connect brown wire of tester to earth (-).
–  Connect voltage tester -V.A.G 1527 B- to battery positive (+) and oil pressure switch using cables from auxiliary measuring set -V.A.G 1594/A-. LED must not light up.
–  Start engine and increase speed slowly. At 0.75…1.05 bar the LED must light up, otherwise renew oil pressure switch.
Checking 0.3 bar oil pressure switch
  V17-0540
–  Remove 0.3 bar oil pressure switch -F22- -blue insulation- and screw into tester.
–  Screw tester into oil filter bracket in place of oil pressure switch.
–  Connect brown wire of tester to earth (-).

–  Start engine and increase speed slowly. At 0.15...0.35 bar the LED must go out, otherwise renew oil pressure switch.
Checking oil pressure
–  Increase engine speed further. At 2000 rpm and an oil temperature of 80 °C the oil pressure should be at least 2.0 bar.
