1 - Bearing shell
q   For cylinder block with oil groove.
q   Mark used bearing shells for re-installation but not on bearing surface
2 - Drive chain sprocket
q   removing and fitting → Chapter
3 - Bearing shell
q   For bearing cap without oil groove.
q   Mark used bearing shells for re-installation but not on bearing surface
4 - Thrust washers
q   For bearing 3.
q   Different types for cylinder block and bearing cap
q   Note attachment
5 - Bolts
q   Replace
q   65 Nm ± +90°
6 - Bearing cap
q   Bearing cap 1: Pulley side:
q   Bearing cap 3 with recesses for thrust washers.
q   Fitting position: Retaining lugs on bearing shells in cylinder block and bearing cap must be on the same side
7 - Crankshaft
q   There should be no needle bearing fitted in the crankshaft on vehicles with manual gearbox; remove the needle bearing if necessary
q   Measuring axial clearance → Chapter
q   Measuring radial clearance → Chapter
q   Crankshaft dimensions → Chapter
q   With drive spur gear for balance shaft assembly
