Removing and installing fuel filter
Removing and installing fuel filter
t  Removing → Anchor
t  Installing → Anchor
t  Tightening torques → Anchor
Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Tray -VAS 6208-, see equivalent → Anchor
Removing
Observe safety precautions → Chapter.
Observe rules for cleanliness → Chapter.
  W00-10228
–  Remove cover -1- on rear right side of fuel tank.
–  Place the drip tray -VAS 6208- under the fuel filter.
  WARNING
The fuel system is pressurised. Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.

–  Disconnect fuel pipes -1-, -2- and -4- by pressing the release tabs.
–  Unscrew the bolt -3-.
–  Detach the fuel filter.

Installing
Reassembly is carried out in the reverse order; note the following:
Fitting position:
l  Direction of flow is indicated with an arrow on filter housing.
l  Ensure that connection „IN“ on fuel supply line -3- is positioned at the same height as the screw connection for the filter mount-2-.
Distance between fuel return pipe at fuel filter and fuel tank:
l  -a- = 6  to 10 mm
