Safety precautions when working on fuel supply system
  WARNING
t  The fuel system is pressurised. Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by carefully loosening the connection.
t  The temperature of the fuel lines or the fuel may reach up to 100 ºC in extreme cases. Before opening the duct connections, allow the fuel to cool otherwise there is a risk of severe burns.
t  Wear protective gloves.
t  Wear eye protection.
When removing or fitting components of full or partially full fuel tanks, note the following:
t  The fuel tank should only be partially full. In the relevant work description, the amount of fuel that can remain in the tank is indicated. Drain the tank if necessary.
t  Before beginning work, place an extraction hose close to the opening in the fuel tank to extract escaping fuel fumes and switch on exhaust extraction system. If no exhaust gas extraction system is available, a radial fan with a displacement greater than 15m3/h can be used providing that motor is not in air flow.
t  Prevent skin contact with fuel! Wear fuel-resistant gloves!
When removing and fitting the fuel tank, take the following into account:
t  The fuel tank must be empty in order to reduce weight. Drain the tank if necessary.
