t  Components marked with * are checked via self diagnosis → Rep. Gr.01
t  Components marked with ** are checked via final control diagnosis → Rep. Gr.01
t  Secondary air pump relay -J299-** → Fig.
   
1 - O-ring
q   Renew.
2 - Connection
3 - Combination valve
q   Checking → Chapter.
4 - Air duct
q   In cylinder head
5 - 10 Nm
6 - Secondary air inlet valve -N112-*/**
7 - Bracket
q   For secondary air inlet valve -N112-.
q   Bolted to bulkhead.
8 - Connector
q   Black, 2-pin.
9 - To intake pipe
10 - Non-return valve
q   White connection points to secondary air inlet valve -N112-.
11 - To vacuum unit
12 - Intake hose
q   Check for secure seating.
q   Press together at front to release.
q   From air filter housing → Rep. Gr.24.
13 - Secondary air pump motor -V101-**
14 - Connector
q   Black, 2-pin.
q   For secondary air pump motor -V101-.
15 - Bracket
q   For secondary air pump motor -V101-.
q   Secured to lock carrier
16 - Pressure hose
q   Check for secure seating.
q   Press together at front to release.
17 - Washer
18 - Rubber bush
19 - Sleeve
20 - Connection
q   For combination valve.
21 - Gasket
q   Renew.
22 - 5 Nm

   
Secondary air pump relay -J299-** -arrow 1-
t  With secondary air pump fuse -S130--arrow 2-
  Note
t  If tools are necessary to pull relays or control units out of the relay plate, first disconnect battery earth strap
t  Before disconnecting battery earth strap obtain code for radios with anti-theft coding.
