Checking charge pressure regulating valve vacuum unit

Test prerequisite
l  Engine oil temperature at least 60 °C
Test procedure
   
–  Pull connector -1- off charge pressure control solenoid valve -N75--2-.
–  Remove sound insulation tray → Rep. Gr.50.

–  Start engine and increase to maximum rpm by flooring throttle. The charge pressure regulating valve operating rod -2- must move.
If the operating rod does not move:
–  Check charge pressure regulating valve lever -1- for ease of movement. If corroded (seized), renew turbocharger.
If the operating rod does not move, even though the lever is free to move:
–  Turbocharger defective. Renew turbocharger → Chapter, Removing and installing turbocharger with attachments.
–  Interrogate and clear fault memory → Rep. Gr.01
