Fitting: instructions
Assembly is in the reverse order, bearing in mind the following:
–  Check the disengagement collar for wear and, if necessary, replace it.
–  If necessary check the centring of the clutch drive plate.
–  Apply a thin layer of -G 000 100- to the disengagement collar, the guide sleeve for the collar and the primary shaft spline.
–  Make sure that the engine unit centring bushings are correctly fitted and, if necessary, fit them.
–  Bolt the rear engine and gearbox support to the engine unit.
–  When fitting the engine unit check that there is sufficient play with the half shafts.
  Note!
When fitting the engine unit on vehicles with ABS, be especially careful not to damage the ABS unit lines.
   
–  When fitting the engine support unit, ensure that the tabs on the metal/rubber bearing fit in the engine support -arrows-.
–  Align the engine with a shaking movement so that it lies without tension; if necessary, loosen the engine support at the body as well.
  Note!
Tightening torques for the engine unit supports → Chapter.
–  Fit the articulated half shafts: → Running gear; Rep. Gr.40
–  Fit the gearbox control: → 5-speed manual gearbox 085; Rep. Gr.34
–  Fit the front exhaust pipe → Chapter.
–  Fit the power steering vane pump: → Running gear; Rep. Gr.48
Vehicles with air conditioning
–  Fit the AC compressor: → Heating; Air conditioning; Rep. Gr.87.
Continue for all vehicles
–  Electrical connections and wire routing: → Electrical system; Rep. Gr.97.
–  Fit the Poly-V belt → Chapter.
–  Fit the clutch drive cable: → 5-speed manual gearbox 085; Rep. Gr.30.
–  Top up coolant → Chapter.
–  it the soundproofing sump: → Bodywork - fitting work; Rep. Gr.50
–  Fit the air filter: → Rep. Gr.24
–  Carry out operation “How to proceed after an interruption in voltage supply”. → Rep. Gr.24
–  Do a road test and consult the fault memory. → Rep. Gr.01
