Oil sump: removing and fitting > < Lubrication system components: removing and fitting

–  Remove the soundproofing sump: → Bodywork - fitting work; Rep. Gr.50
–  Drain the engine oil.
–  Remove the cable guide on the oil sump.
  Note!
On vehicles with air conditioning, if necessary, partially remove the power steering vane pump.
–  Remove the right articulated half shaft from the gearbox. → Running gear; Rep. Gr.40
–  Remove the engine flywheel cover.
–  Remove the bolts holding the oil sump with liquid sealant.
–  Remove the oil sump. If necessary, tap the sump loose with a rubber mallet.
–  Eliminate the sealant residues from the engine block with a flat scraper.
   
–  Remove sealant residue on the sump with a rotating brush, e.g. a hand drill with a plastic brush (wear protective goggles).
–  Clean the contact surfaces of all oil and grease.
