Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Socket -T20020-, see equivalent → Anchor
t  Dial gauge
Checking sequence
  W00-2300
–  Insert new valve into guide.
l  The end of the valve stem must be flush with the guide
On account of differing stem diameters, only use inlet valve in inlet guide and exhaust valve in exhaust guide.
–  Determine rock.
l  Wear limit rock: Max. 1.3 mm
  Note
t  If the wear limit is exceeded, redo the measurement using new valves. If the wear limit is still exceeded, replace the cylinder head The valve guides cannot be replaced.
t  If the valve is to be renewed as part of a repair, use a new valve for the calculation.
