Removal:
Removal:
–  Remove camshaft → Chapter.
–  Remove the roller rocker arm. Place them on a clean surface.
–  Take care not to interchange the roller rocker arm.
–  Disconnect the spark plug hood off with extractor -T10112- .
–  Remove the spark plugs using the spark plug spanner -3122 B-.
–  Set piston of appropriate cylinder to „bottom dead centre“.
   
–  Insert the valve fitting tool -2036- and adjust the bearing to the stud height.
–  Screw pressure hose -VW 653/3- into spark plug thread.
–  Connect pressure hose to a compressed air system of at least 6 bar of compressed air.
–  Remove valve springs with the valve lever -VW 541/1 A- and pressure tool -VW 541/6-.
  Note
Tight cotters can be released by tapping lightly on the valve lever.
–  Remove the valve stem seals with the valve stem seal extractor -3364-.
