t  On vehicles without air conditioning the display always reads “Compr. OFF”.
t  Test the signals from/to the air conditioning compressor → Chapter.

Note on display field 3:
t  Shows how far idling stabilisation differs due to self-adaptation from average value predetermined in engine design. With new engines the value is positive due to high friction between components, while the value is negative on broken in engines.

1)  Adapt the engine control unit to the throttle valve drive unit → Chapter.
Notes on display field 60:
t  When adapting the throttle valve drive unit the ignition must be on.
t  When display group 60 is selected in function 04 “Basic settings”, the engine control unit is adapted to the throttle valve drive. This adaptation must be carried out after replacing the throttle valve drive unit (or complete engine) or the engine control unit.
t  After an interruption in voltage supply (battery disconnected) this adaptation must also be carried out → Chapter , How to proceed after an interruption in voltage supply.
t  During the adaptation, the counter in display field 3 goes from 0 to 8.
