Removing:
–
Remove central console
→ Bodywork, interior fitting work; Rep. gr.68
.

Detach underbody panel on rear left and rear right and unclip handbrake cables.
–
Remove the left underbody panel.
–
Remove wheels.
–
Remove rear section from exhaust system.
–
Remove heat shield sheet metal cover at rear section of exhaust system.
–
Remove bracket on silent block on exhaust system and mount for hand brake cable.
–
Remove retaining clip

and unhook handbrake cables at brake calliper.
Note
Do not damage rubber boot for handbrake cable when removing and installing.

Unhook handbrake cables

from bracket
-3-
on lower arm on rear wheel suspension.

Unclip handbrake cables

from fuel tank (clip)

Unclip the handbrake cable

from its mount

.
To be able to engage new cable support, the handbrake cable must be removed and the mechanism reset.

Installation
–
Hook in handbrake cable to stop.
Note
The handbrake cable
-1-
must be located at the crossing point below the handbrake cable

Hook handbrake cable into brackets provided.
–
The clip loop of the mount must be positioned between both position rings

.
–
Tightening torque bolts
-2-
: 25 Nm.
–
Secure handbrake cables to underbody and fuel tank.
Note
Do not damage rubber boot for handbrake cable when removing and installing.

Hang the hand brake cable on the brake calliper and insert the securing clip

.

The positioning rings
-1-
of the cable should lie inside the clip position of the retainer.
–
Tightening torque bolts
-2-
: 25 Nm.

Attach the heat shields.

Fitting the centre console

Adjust handbrake
