  Note!
The removal and installation of the brake servo can vary a little from the following description, according to the mechanization and vehicle equipment
Removal
–  Check whether a coded radio is fitted and if so consult the anti-theft code.
–  Disconnect the battery.
–  Disconnect the brake warning lamp sender connector.
–  Remove the coolant liquid expansion tank and set it to one side.
–  Separate flexible vacuum pipe from servo brake.
–  Unscrew the two supports from the clutch haul-in.
Vehicles with ABS
–  Remove control unit and hydraulic unit → Chapter
Vehicles without ABS
–  Unscrew the brake pipes from the master cylinder; seal brake pipes with plugs from repair kit, part No. -1H0 698 311 A-.
Continued for all vehicles
–  Remove lining situated below the dash panel.
–  Remove brake light switch → Running gear; self-diagnosis for ABS; Rep. Gr.01
–  Fit and adjust brake pedal switch -F47-.
–  Separate the brake pedal from the servo brake → Chapter
–  Unbolt the brake servo.
–  Bring out the brake servo forwards along with the master cylinder and remove.
Installation
Install in reverse order.
–  Adjust brake light switch → Running gear; self-diagnosis for ABS; Rep. Gr.01
–  Bauen Sie den Bremspedalschalter ein und stellen Sie ihn ein -F47- → Injection and Ignition System; Rep. Gr.24.
–  After installation, bleed the brake system for air → Chapter
