Removing
  WARNING
Before removing the steering wheel, the following operations must be completed:
t  Disconnect the battery earth strap
t  Turn the front wheels straight.
If these instructions are not followed, the airbag may fail later!
Remove the airbag unit and the steering wheel → Chapter
   
–  Loosen the bolts -arrows-.
–  Loosen the bolt next to the longitudinal and vertical adjustment lever.
–  Remove the lower section of the covering for the steering column combination switch.
–  Remove the upper section of the covering for the combination switch.
–  Unplug the connector -1-.

–  Release the fastening hooks -arrows-, and loosen the retractor ring with collector ring from the combination switch.
