Before carrying out further work, disconnect battery earth strap. To this end, it is necessary to check whether the vehicle has a coded radio. If so, refer to the anti-theft coding.

Depending on the engine, to access the hydraulic oil tank the battery and its support must be dismounted → Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27.

Unscrew the plug -1- for the hydraulic oil tank from the electro-hydraulic pump unit -2-.

Extract the hydraulic oil with the oil extractor -SAT 1100-.
Disconnect the connector -1- and -2- from the radiator fan control unit -4-.

Unscrew nuts -3-.

Remove the additional radiator fan control unit -4-.

Open the spacer -1- and take out the pressure tube -3-, the return line -2- and the sensor cable for the power steering -G250 - (depending on the version).

Fit a tray underneath the electro-hydraulic pump unit to collect the oil.

Unscrew the pressure tube -1- on the electro-hydraulic pump and secure it upwards.

Cover the pressure tube using a plastic bag and adhesive tape to protect it from dirt.

Open the spring-type clip -3- using the pliers -V.A.G 1275- on the return tube -2-.

Carefully remove the return line -2- from the electro-hydraulic pump unit and cover it with a plastic bag and adhesive tape for protection from dirt.

Take out the hexagonal bolts -arrows-.

Separate the electro-hydraulic group along with the bracket and without putting tension on the electric cables.

Disconnect the connectors -1-, -2- and -3- from the electro-hydraulic pump unit.
