General description:
  WARNING
Information on the use and the safety of the gas discharge lamps must be observed → Chapter
The main headlight with gas discharge lamps includes a „Bi-Xenon“ function.
Gas discharge lamps on conventional „xenon“ headlights only generate light for dipped headlights. „Bixenon“ generates dipped headlights and main beam headlights with „one single“ gas discharge lamp. An electromechanical activator (left headlight screen adjustment solenoid -N395- or a right headlight screen adjustment solenoid -N396-) opens the dipped headlight area and distributes the main beam light when the high-beam function is turned on.
For this reason, with „bixenon“headlights, when you adjust the dipped lights, the main beam also adjusts automatically.
Main main headlights with gas discharge lamps do not have „additional main beam lights“.
The cornering light system has the following functions:
t  Cornering light bulb on tight curves (static cornering light) (curve radius 500 m) or when veering at a speed of less than 50
km
h
  Note
The Alhambra model does not have the dynamic cornering light!
Detection and display of faults:
The automatic adjustable light range system and the on-board controller are equipped with a self-diagnosis that male troubleshooting on the main beam adaptive headlights with gas discharge lamps easier.
For fault location, use the function „guided fault location“ of the information, measuring and fault diagnosis system -VAS 5051A-.
