  Note!
t  If the vehicle has a security-coded radio, obtain the anti-theft code from customer before disconnecting the battery.
t  To disconnect and reconnect the battery, the procedure described in the workshop manual should be strictly adhered to → Chapter.
Removing:
–  Remove driver side airbag → General body repairs, interior; Rep. Gr.69.
   
–  Remove securing screws -arrows- on contact plate.
–  Pull off connector and remove contact plate.
  Note!
  N94-0294
Ensure that the contact surfaces of the contact plate as well as the contact pin in steering wheel -arrows- are metallically clean before reinstalling.
Installing:
Install in reverse order of removal.
