Ribbed belt removal
–  Mark direction of rotation of ribbed belt if it is to be reinstalled
   
–  Use a spanner on the screw which holds the swivel tensioning roller and move the roller to the direction of the arrow.
–  Remove the ribbed belt Poly-V.

  Note!
t  When installing the ribbed belt recall the direction of rotation marked before removing it
t  Ensure, before installing ribbed- belt, that all ancillaries (alternator, air conditioner compressor, PAS vane pump) are secured tightly
t  On installing the belt make sure that the ribbed belt is well seated in the pulley

–  Use a spanner on the screw which holds the swivel tensioning roller and move the roller to the direction of the arrow.
–  First, place ribbed belt Poly-V onto the crankshaft/vibration damper puller. Lastly, slide belt onto tensioning roller.
–  Start engine and check how belt is running.
–  Remove central and right sound insulation trays: → Body-external installation work; Rep. Gr.50
