Angle at rest position: testing

Special tools, shop equipment, test and measurement units and auxiliary devices required

t	Wiper arm adjuster -U-40081-

–	Fit the wiper arm -2- on the wiper arm adjuster -U-40081- and fix it with the lock bolt -3-.

–	Check the adjustment angle.

Adjustment angle (target values) for
	Left-hand drive vehicles	Right-hand drive vehicles
Driver side	- 7	+ 7
Passenger side	- 6.5°	+ 6.5°
Rear window wiper	0°	0°
Tolerance	± 2°	± 2°

If necessary adjust the adjustment angle to the target value as follows:

–	Fit an open 24 e/c spanner -1- over the adjuster, and incline the wiper arm -2-, according to the target value -arrows-.

–	Free the wiper arm -2- from the adjuster and fix it again with the bolt -3-.

–	Remove the adjuster and install the wiper blade.

Tightening torque of the windscreen wiper arms: 20 Nm

–	Check that the window wiper does not scratch.
