  WARNING
Before working on the electrical system, disconnect the battery earth strap.
  Note
t  Before disconnecting the battery consult the client about the anti-theft coding on radios that have this feature.
t  When the battery is reconnected, check the vehicle equipment (radio, clock, electric comfort system, etc.), following the indications in the Workshop Manual and/or the Operating Instructions.
  Note
t  The Data bus diagnosis interface -J533- is incorporated into the on-board network control unit -J519-.

General description
The on board network control system -J519- has the following functions in the vehicle:
t  Electrical management of the charge
t  Control of outside lights
t  Lead control of the fuel pump
t  Control of the windscreen wiper/washer, intermittent operation and rain sensor
t  Heating for the exterior rear view mirrors and rear window
t  Heated seats
t  Control of the indicator lights and the hazard lights
t  Horn
t  Automatic speed regulator (transforms the signals to the engine data can bus)
t  Bonnet lock
t  Illumination of the instruments and the switches
t  Function maintenance (voltage supply) for the sunroof and the electric windows
t  Magnet activation for selector lever locking
t  Ignition lock
t  Reverse lights control
t  Data bus diagnosis interface -J533-
  Note
If the on-board network control unit -J519- or the data bus diagnosis interface -J533-, must be replaced, before disassembling carry out operations → Chapter. Replace the on-board power supply control unit -J519-.
