Checking sequence
–  Connect vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- 5052- 5052A- → Chapter.
  Note
A fault message is shown on the display → Operating manual VAS 505X.
–  Press the Guided Functions key.
   
Indication on -VAS 505X-:
–  Enter vehicle identification by touching the appropriate message line -1- in accordance with the selection prompt -A-.
The vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system -VAS 5051B- 5052- 5052A- then switches to the next selection step (example; steps may also be skipped depending on vehicle model):

If vehicle identification has been implemented correctly, press the button to confirm.

–  Continuation and note information on display of -VAS 5051A-.
After activation/deactivation:
–  Press Go to key.
–  Select „End“ function in list.
–  Switch off ignition and separate diagnostic connection.
  Note
If entry into „Guided functions“ mode is not possible as described with older engine control unit generations, the presence/absence of the cruise control system is programmed in the engine control unit hardware.
