Gear change prongs: Repairs Consult the equivalence table for tools and equipment according to applicability among Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter. Special tools and workshop equipment required

Identification of commutation pins for gearbox prongs Dimension -a- 1 -  1. and 2nd gear = 11.4 mm 2 -  3. and 4th gear = 7.6 mm 3 -  5. Gear = 6.0 mm

Installation of clamping washers –  Press the spring washer in the groove of the bolt with a handled socket spanner.   Note After installing the spring washer, the commutation bolts must be able to move slightly. A  -  Handled socket spanner, e/c 10 mm B  -  Protective jaw covers

Removing the inner ring of the ball bearing   Note On removing and installing the inner rings, they do not bend the prongs.

Fit the inner ring of the ball bearing up to the stop.   Note On removing and installing the inner rings, they do not bend the prongs.
