Remove and install bearing bracket and master cylinder > < Removing

Installation
Installation
–  Lubricate the end of the rod with lubricating grease, according to → Parts catalogue..
–  Insert master cylinder into bearing bracket.
   
–  Check whether mount -arrow 1- on over-center helper spring is seated in bearing bracket.
Installation position:
–  The mounting lug is seated in the recess of the master cylinder -arrow 2-.
–  Move the clutch pedal to the highest position, towards the dashboard.
–  Place the over-centre spring in its seating, next to the clutch pedal bracket.
–  Lightly squeeze the spring assembly and sit it on the clutch pedal.
Lock the clutch pedal in the operating rod allotment as described below:
  N30-0358
–  The allotment -A- must be on the operating rod -B- of the clutch master cylinder.
–  Fasten actuation rod -B- and press clutch pedal in -direction of arrow- into mount. Ensure that the actuation rod is seated correctly in clutch pedal.

–  Fit the clutch pedal bracket -4- to the base of the dashboard and tighten the new bolts -arrows- to a torque of 25 Nm.
–  Install clutch pedal stop -2-.

–  Remove from the clutch master cylinder the hydraulic circuit clamp (male) -SAT 1211-and the hydraulic circuit clamp (female)from the pipe and hose assembly -SAT 1210-.
–  Press pipe and hose lines -C- with new sealing ring into mount on master cylinder until retaining clip -B- arrests audibly.
–  Detach the hose clamp -U 30042- from the hose trailing -A-.
–  Insert clutch pedal switch into mount and turn 45º to right.
–  Install footwell cover on driver side → body - inner assembly work; Rep. Gr.68.
–  After having fitted the clutch slave cylinder, the clutch system must be bled of air → Chapter.
–  Remove air cleaner housing; gasoline engines → Rep. Gr.24 and diesel engines → Rep. Gr.23.
–  Fit engine cover → Booklet2.
–  With the ignition switched off, connect battery earth strap.
