Turn out fixing screw for flanged shaft Screw these two screws in the flange and with a lever hold the shaft

Remove flange shaft along with spring, thrust washer and tapered ring.

Remove clutch release lever -A- with clutch release collar and guide sleeve .

Remove flange shaft along with spring, thrust washer and tapered ring.

Unscrew the bolts -arrows- and remove the gearbox casing cover.

Take out the bushing pin -arrow- and remove the fork of 5th gear -1-.

Using the pliers -A-81124-, remove the circlip -2- for the 5th gear synchroniser body.

Using the pliers -A-81124-, remove the circlip -3- for the 5th gear mobile pinion.
–
Remove the 5th gear movable sleeve.
–
Remove the hub and the synchronous ring of the 5th gear. Attach to the adapter -U-40100/1-synchronous ring, where the contact surface is greatest, see Figure

Remove the mobile 5th gear pinion and the needle bearing from the input shaft.

Remove the 5th gear mobile pinion A on the secondary shaft.

Extract the bolts -A- securing the allotment for the input and secondary shafts grooved bearings and the gearbox casing.
Rotate the gearbox in the support tool -T20172/4A- so that the gearbox casing is facing upwards.

Unscrew the bolts that secure the gearbox housing to the clutch housing.
–
Remove the gearbox casing, carefully levering it off and avoiding damage to the sealing surfaces.
–
Remove differential -A- from gearbox housing.
For vehicles with start stop system
–
Remove the gearbox neutral position sender -G701--arrow-.
Continued for all vehicles

Remove selector shaft with selector cover -A-. For this, put the selector into neutral. Then remove bolts -arrows- and pull selector shaft out of gearbox housing.

Take the bearing bushes -B- out of the upper part of the gearbox.

Take out the reverse light switch -C-.
–
Remove bolt -A- for securing reverse gear wheel shaft.

Take the bearing bushes -B- out of the lower part of the gearbox.

Do not remove sealing cover -arrow- when dismantling gearbox.

Release the input and secondary shafts along with the allotment, the prong operation mechanism and reverse gear mesh using the punch -T10085-.

Fit the gearbox casing onto the press plates so that the centring sockets are not damaged in any way.

When releasing components, ensure that they do not fall on the ground; a second mechanic is required.

Release the input and secondary axles from the allotment with the grooved ball bearings .
