Verifying the gearbox operation mechanism
Verifying the gearbox operation mechanism
l  The gear lever must be in neutral, in the track for 3rd/4th gear
–  Press the clutch pedal, engage all gears several times. In particular, check the reverse gear selection lock.
–  If engaging gears repeatedly causes difficulties, check the following:
–  Engage first gear.
–  Move the gearshift lever to the left as far as it will go and let it go.
   
–  At the same time, with the help of a second mechanic, check that the gear change commuter shaft moves approximately 1 mm in the direction of the -arrow-.
–  If not, adjust the gear change mechanism → Chapter.
