ATF radiator: removing and installing
ATF radiator: removing and installing
Check the tool and equipment equivalence table according to the applicability between Seat / VW / Audi / Skoda → Chapter.
Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Hose clamp -3094-, see equivalent → Anchor
ATF radiator: removing
  Note
t  Cleaning norms when working in the gearbox → Chapter.
t  General repair instructions → Chapter.
  Note
All cable clamps that become loose or cut when removing must be re-installed in the same place when installing.
–  Put the gear selector lever into position “P”.
–  Remove the air filter housing, the air hose and the conduit → Rep. Gr.24 y → Rep. Gr.23
–  Mark the ATF radiator hoses with respect to the ATF radiator in order to avoid confusion when fitting.
  Note
Depending on the stage of fitting, before fitting the ATF radiator, there is a plastic tube that must be refitted in position.

–  Pinch off the ATF radiator hoses using the Hose clamp -3094- and separate them from the ATF radiator.
–  Remove the two nuts attaching the selector cable support.
–  Remove the ATF radiator from the gearbox, by removing the three bolts fastening it to the gearbox casing.
ATF radiator: fitting
Install in reverse order. The following must be taken into account:
–  Replace the O-rings of the ATF radiator.

–  Connect the hoses of the ATF radiator according to the marks made during removal on the ATF radiator.
  Note
Depending on the stage of fitting, there is a plastic tube that must be placed in its position before fitting the ATF radiator.
–  Check the level of coolant in the cooling system → Engine, mechanics; Rep. Gr.19.
–  Check and correct the ATF level immediately → Chapter.
