Dismantling and assembling 5th?gear > < Check 1st and 2nd gear synchroniser ring for wear

Removing and installing the 1st and 2nd gear mobile sleeve and synchromesh unit
Removing and installing the 1st and 2nd gear mobile sleeve and synchromesh unit
   
–  To disassemble, the springs must be removed -1-.
2  - Mobile element
3  - Synchro-hub
4  - Locking keyways
–  To fit, slide the mobile sleeve onto the synchromesh. Fitting position:
l  The groove on the front section -arrow A- and the highest collar -arrow B- of the synchromesh should point towards the outer teeth of the mobile sleeve -arrow C-.
l  The thinnest grooves -arrow D- of the synchromesh are aligned with the grooves -arrow E- of the mobile sleeve.
l  The mobile element is on the synchromesh body.

–  Fit the locking elements in the thinnest grooves -arrows- and fit the securing springs off-set by 120º.
l  The spring should point towards the slanted end of the locking pin.
