Removal:
l  Before disconnecting the battery, ensure that the ignition key is not in the ignition switch.
–  Disconnect the battery earth strap.
  Note
Observe the safety measures to be adopted when disconnecting the battery → Electrical system; Rep. gr. 27
–  Remove engine cover → Booklet2.
–  Remove the air filter body, breather hose and air duct hoses → Rep. gr.24 and → Rep. gr.23 .
–  Remove the battery → Electrical system; Rep. gr.27.
   
–  Remove battery tray -arrows- and remove from vehicle.

–  Remove the safety washer -1- that secures the connector cable to the selector rod.
–  Remove the connector cable from the pivot -2-.
–  Remove the idler rod-3- → Chapter.
  Note
When performing the following operations, care must be taken not to spill brake fluid onto the side member or gearbox. If fluid comes into contact with them, the affected area must be thoroughly cleaned.
–  Place a lint-free cloth under the clutch slave cylinder.
–  Removing the pipe / hose assembly in the clutch slave cylinder → Anchor

–  Screw out bolts -arrows- and remove master cylinder.
  Note
The positions- A, B and C are to be ignored-.
  Note
Do not press on the clutch pedal following the removal of the slave cylinder.
