Dismantling and assembling selector lever
Dismantling and assembling selector lever
Grease all joints and sliding surfaces with multipurpose grease.
   
1 - Selector lever
2 - Indicator lighting
q   In right-hand drive vehicles, there is an additional contact that prevents the engine from being started when locking button on “selector lever handle” is pressed.
q   Adjusting starter inhibitor switch (right-hand drive vehicles only) → Chapter.
3 - Clip
q   For securing selector lever cable.
4 - Locating screw
q   For securing selector lever cable.
q   Adjusting selector lever cable → Chapter.
5 - Nut, 15 Nm
q   Inserting with locking fluid -AMV 185 101 A1-.
6 - Lever
7 - Bolt
8 - Bush
q   Placing in locking lever → Fig..
9 - Locking lever
q   Placing in selector lever with spring and bush → Fig..
10 - Spring
q   For locking lever → Fig..
11 - Selector lever lock solenoid -N110-
q   Can be checked in measured value block → Automatic gearbox 099, four-wheel drive -Self-diagnosis-; Rep. Gr.01.
12 - Wiring harness
13 - Hexagon bolt, 3 Nm
q   Inserting with locking fluid -AMV 185 101 A1-.

   
Installing locking lever in selector lever with bush -arrow- and spring
–  Lightly lubricate bush -arrow-.
–  Insert nut with locking fluid -AMV 185 101 A1-.
