Installing > < Renewing seal for stub shaft

Removing
Removing
l 
–  Remove noise insulation tray.
–  Turn steering to right to full lock.
–  Unbolt drive shaft from flange shaft.
Gearbox with bearing housing for flange shaft
   
–  Gearboxes are installed both with and without differential support -1-.
–  If a differential support is installed, remove it (bolts -2-, -3- and -4-).
Vehicles with 4-cylinder engine
–  Remove bracket, if present, between turbocharger and cylinder block → Rep. Gr.21.
Continuation for all vehicles
  N34-1565
–  Remove bearing housing -1- with right flange shaft from gearbox carrier -2- and gearbox (bolts -A- and -B-).
Gearbox without bearing housing for flange shaft
Vehicles with 4-cylinder engine
–  Remove bracket, if present, between turbocharger and cylinder block → Rep. Gr.21.

–  Unbolt bearing for right flange shaft (bolts -A-) from gearbox carrier -B- and pull flange shaft out of gearbox stub shaft.
Vehicles with 6-cylinder engine
  N34-1571
–  Unbolt bearing for right flange shaft (bolts -A-) from gearbox carrier -B- and pull flange shaft out of gearbox stub shaft.
Continuation for all vehicles
–  Remove stub shaft securing bolt.
–  Remove stub shaft with compression spring.

–  Lever out seal using a screwdriver.
