  Note
t  Lubricate bearing positions and sliding surfaces.
t  Allocate grease using → Electronic parts catalogue (ETKA).
t  Do not kink selector cables.
1 - Gear selector cable
q   Connect to cable end-piece → Item
q   Installation position → Chapter
q   Secure to gate selector cable with cable tie → Fig.
q   From 11.06, modified attachment to gear lever inside selector mechanism → Item
2 - Selection control cable
q   Connect to cable end-piece → Item
q   Installation position → Chapter
q   Secure to gear selector cable with cable tie → Fig.
q   From 11.06, modified attachment to gate selector lever inside selector mechanism → Item
3 - Retainer washer
q   Always replace.
q   Discontinued in selector mechanisms from 11.06 → Chapter
4 - Lever protection box
5 - Retainer washer
q   Always replace.
q   Take care not to damage selector cables when removing.
6 - Hexagon bolt, 20 Nm
q   3 off
q   For cable support bracket
7 - Cable support bracket
q   Metal
8 - Grommet
q   Cable support bracket mounting on gearbox
9 - Spacer
10 - Cable attachment
q   After installing, adjust selector mechanism → Chapter
q   To secure selection control cable to idler rod
q   Do not mix up. The element fastening the cable selector to the idler rod and fastening the connector cable to the selector rod are different.
q   Allocation → Fig.
11 - Cable attachment
q   After installing, adjust selector mechanism → Chapter
q   Secures gear selector cable to gearbox selector lever
q   Do not mix up. The element fastening the cable selector to the idler rod and fastening the connector cable to the selector rod are different.
q   Allocation → Fig.
12 - Retainer washer
q   Always replace.
q   Not required if the idler rod is plastic
13 - Retainer washer
q   Always replace.
14 - Mounting bush

Identification of cable end-pieces
The holes in the cable end-pieces have different diameters.

1 - Gear selector cable to gearbox selector lever from 06.068.5 mm
2 - Gear selector cable to gearbox selector lever through 05.0610 mm
2. - Gate selector cable to metal relay lever8 mm

Fit the idler rod
–  When installing gearbox selector lever, make sure that the gap in the splines -arrow A- aligns with the wider spline -arrow B- on the selector shaft.

1 - Gearbox selector lever
2 - Relay lever engages in guide rail of gearbox selector lever via the slide -arrow-.

Position of cable tie securing selector cables
–  Wind cable tie -arrow- around the selector cables in a figure eight and secure them as shown in figure.
