| From position „P“ and with the button pressed in, pull the selector lever back approximately 5 mm and hold in this position, without engaging „R“. |

| Release the selector lever. |

| The selector lever should spring back into „P“ position automatically. |

| If this is not the case, adjust selector lever cable → Chapter. |

| Place the selector lever in position „N“. |
| –
| From position „N“ and with the button pressed in, pull the selector lever back approximately 5 mm and hold in this position, without engaging „D“. |

| Release the selector lever. |

| The selector lever should spring back into „N“ position automatically. |
| –
| If this is not the case, adjust selector lever cable → Chapter. |
| –
| From position „N“ and with the button pressed in, pull the selector lever forwards approximately 5 mm and hold in this position, without engaging „R“. |
| –
| Release the selector lever. |

| The selector lever should spring back into „N“ position automatically. |
| –
| If this is not the case, adjust selector lever cable → Chapter. |
