When the gearbox is »open«, extreme care must be taken to prevent dirt from entering into it.
In particular, dirt may enter when the mechatronic control unit for the dual clutch automatic gearbox (DSG) -J743- or the oil pump are open, causing damage to the gearbox.
Please also refer to the notes on the oil filter change regarding »dirty oil« → Anchor.
When the gearbox is very hot, the mechatronics on the dowel pins may block. In this case, allow the gearbox to cool down.
