Upper grille in the bumper trim: removing
–  Open the bonnet and hold open with the bonnet rod.
To remove the expanding rivets -1- proceed as follows:
–  Insert lever -U 30800- in the space ready in the central piston of the clip and move the piston upwards and extract the expanding rivets -1-.
  Note
To protect the bumper trim -5-, stick masking tape -3- over the bumper trim as shown in the graphic.
–  Using a coloured pen, mark the dimension a = 25 mm on the masking tape -3-.
–  Push a fine plastic wedge -4- between the bumper trim -5- and the upper grille -2- in the same area as the masking tape -3-.

   

–  Insert the lever -U 30800- between the fine plastic wedge -2- and the upper grille -4- underneath the dimension a = 25 mm.
  Note
To be able to make enough space available for inserting a Ø 5 mm flat screwdriver between the fine plastic wedge and the upper grille -4-, push the lever -U 30800- in far enough to make the gap.
–  Insert a Ø 5 mm flat screwdriver between the plastic wedge -2- and the upper grille -4- with the dimension a = 25 mm in the direction of -arrow A- until the end of the clip -6-.
–  Use the flat screwdriver -3- to lever the clip -5- from its fastening -6- in the direction of -arrow B-.
–  Remove the upper grille -4- to the side and perform the same work procedure for the removal on the opposite side.
   
–  Apply pressure to the lower part of the grille -1- in the direction of the -arrows- to release the clips -2- from their fastening -3- to the bumper trim.
–  Remove grille -1-.
