Special tools and workshop equipment required
   
t  Torque wrench -V.A.G 1331-
  W00-0427
t  Socket -3410-
  Note
The removal and installation sequence is only for the right door striker pin. Removal and installation on the right side of the vehicle are similar.
Removal
Carry out following work:
  W00-0397
–  Remove bolts -2- and remove striker pin -1-.
Installation
Carry out following work:
  N57-10322
–  Position striker pin -1- on B-pillar -3- and tighten bolts -2-.
  WARNING
A bent striker pin (square U-shape) must be installed.
The U-shape of the striker pin points towards the inside of vehicle.
Specified torque for bolts -2- 20 Nm.
–  Adjust the slip plate → Chapter.
