| Carry out following work: |
| – | If fitted, remove window crank → Chapter. |
| – | Remove front door trim → General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.70. |
| – | Remove cover → Chapter. |
| – | Lever off cap -4-. |
| – | Lower door window -1- until clamping bolts -2- for door window are accessible. |
Note| t | If this part of the work cannot be done due to a fault in window regulator motor, the window regulator motor can be removed → Chapter. |
| t | The window can then be pushed to required working position. |
| – | Loosen the clamping screws -2- (2 pieces) but do not unscrew. Remove clamping jaws -3- . |
| – | Lift door window -1- upwards out of window regulator -3-. |
| – | Lift door window -1- from behind and swing forwards out of window channels -4--arrow-. |

| Carry out following work: |
| – | Insert door window -1- into window channels -2--arrow a-. |
Note| Ensure that door window is properly located in window channel. |
| – | Insert door window -arrow b- into clamping jaws -3- but do not force it in. |
| – | Align door window with window frame -arrow c-. |
| – | Tighten clamping bolts -2- (qty. 2) to specified torque of 8 Nm. |
| Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. |
| l | Before the cover cap -4-, the cover and the door trim are installed, carry out a functional test. |
