  Note
t  Before working with the airbag system, always read the safety precautions → Chapter.
t  Pay attention to coding (obtain as necessary) for vehicles with coded radio/radio navigation system (RNS).
–  With ignition switched off, disconnect earth connection from battery.
–  Remove the footwell area cover, passenger's side. → Chapter
–  Remove the glove compartment cover → Chapter.
–  Remove the passenger airbag key switch → Chapter.
–  Dismount the CD changer → CD Changer; CD Changer: Remove and fit; Rep. Gr.91 if it is incorporated.
   
–  Undo the bolts (tightening torque 0.9 Nm) and remove the glove compartment -1-.

–  Detach connector -4-.
–  Unscrew bolts -2-.
–  Unscrew bolts -3-.
–  Remove the airbag unit -1-.
